The Vranas Olive Press Museum is located on Lesvos, in the settlement of Papados, in the Gulf of Gera, about 20 km from the city of Mytilene. It belongs to the non-profit cultural organization ‘Archipelagos Society,’ which created and managed it under the presidency of the late director Nikos Koundouros from 1997 to 2017.

The museum is one of the oldest olive presses on Lesvos and once belonged to the family of the Nobel laureate poet Odysseus Elytis. Following restoration work, it was inaugurated as a museum in the summer of 2009. It is now open to the public every day of the week except Monday.
